The Yaiza City Council, through the Department of Sports, informs the users of the municipal gym that it will remain closed during the next week, from Tuesday, October 13 to Friday, October 16, due to the carrying out of adaptation, maintenance, and tuning work on its facilities.

The gym will reopen its doors on Monday, October 19, coinciding with the implementation of service improvements. The Councilor for Sports, Ángel Lago, highlights "the extension of the opening hours, from Monday to Friday, from 6:00 to 21:00, and Saturdays, from 7:00 to 14:00, in addition to the extension of the directed activities program".

The municipal action is aimed as a whole at optimizing the organization and functioning of the service with the objective of offering a more complete service and, above all, adapted to the demands of the users. The gym is serving more residents who request more hours of weight training, cardio, and directed physical activities, therefore, the Administration intends to respond to these needs.

"For Yaiza it is very satisfying that our people make continuous use of the sports facilities, because that dynamic translates into the acquisition and permanence of healthy habits," concludes the mayor, Óscar Noda.
