Yaiza announces transportation grants for students for the 2021-2022 academic year

The grants are aimed at university and higher education students residing in the municipality

The Yaiza City Council has announced transportation grants for university and higher education students for the 2021-2022 academic year, aimed at young residents of the municipality who study inside or outside of Lanzarote.

Following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas, it has been agreed that people who meet the requirements of the call will receive a grant of up to 750 euros in the case of university studies outside the island; up to 300 euros for university studies within the island or non-attendance; and up to 250 euros for higher education studies taken inside or outside of Lanzarote.

The call establishes as general requirements the need to be Spanish or a member of the European Community and have habitual and uninterrupted residence in the municipality of Yaiza, at least, for 12 months, and be enrolled during the academic year 2021-2022 in public education centers.

The deadline for submitting applications will be 30 calendar days from this Thursday, October 6, and will be made in the General Register of the Consortium.
