This morning, the Titerroy Neighborhood Association unveiled the official poster for the Christmas activities that will take place in the neighborhood, with the aim of revitalizing the neighborhood and supporting local businesses. Under the motto "Christmas first in your neighborhood, where every smile counts and every hug matters", the event seeks to promote the Christmas spirit and solidarity among neighbors.

The presentation of the poster was attended by several councilors from the Arrecife City Council, including Echey Eugenio, Abigail González, Jacobo Lemes, and Maciot Cabrera, who are working closely in the organization of these activities. In addition, the senator for Lanzarote and La Graciosa, Manuel Fajardo, the island director of the General State Administration in Lanzarote, Pedro Viera, attended, representing the barracks of the Marqués de Herrera barracks in Arrecife, Stte D. Manuel Cobos García, and Cb 1º D. Jesús Nicolás Rodríguez Casado. José Pablo Camacho Pérez, director of CEIP Benito Méndez, Luis Enrique Hernández Méndez, CEIP. Titerroy.

At the event, the First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Festivities, Echey Eugenio, took the floor and expressed his gratitude to the neighborhood association for their participation and dedication in organizing activities for the neighborhood, as in previous years. Eugenio stressed that these events will not be the only ones to be held in Titerroy, and highlighted that they are working on the program of events for the city of Arrecife, which will cover all the neighborhoods of the city, promising more initiatives and events in the near future.

Due to agenda reasons and unavoidable prior commitments, Ángel Vázquez, CEO of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers in Lanzarote, Samuel Martín, Councilor for the Environment Area of the Biosphere Reserve, Astrid Pérez, President of the Parliament of the Canary Islands; and Noelia García Leal, Transparency Commissioner, Pedro San Ginés, Senator appointed by the Parliament of the Canary Islands and José Juan Ramírez, president of the César Manrique Foundation (FCM) were excused.

Those who have not been able to attend this important meeting. They deeply appreciate the understanding and reiterate their commitment and support towards the cause and objectives of this event.

 

Featured activities of the program

  • School Christmas card contest "Illuminate your Christmas": The CEIP Titerroy and CEIP Benito Méndez Tarajano schools will participate, fostering creativity and the Christmas spirit in children.

  • Christmas window display contest: Open to all businesses in the neighborhood, encouraging Christmas decoration in the windows and promoting a festive atmosphere in the neighborhood.
  • Christmas facade decoration contest: Open to any person, entity or community of neighbors of Titerroy, with the aim of beautifying the environment and fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration.
  • Seniors Excursion: As is tradition, an excursion will be organized to visit the nativity scenes on the island, demonstrating the association's continued support for seniors, recognizing their vital contribution to society and ensuring their well-being.
