Tías will offer activities aimed at eliminating the digital divide until June

The project, which is island-wide, includes different activities and training actions at different times, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The training room of the Tías Town Hall, located in the main building of the Town Hall, will be the headquarters from this week until the month of June of the activities, workshops and tutorials aimed at eliminating the digital divide existing between people in a situation of social exclusion in Lanzarote.

The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Commerce, Kalinda Pérez, point out that the Tías Town Hall "has ceded its facilities for the launch of this project, promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands and executed by the company Inter-ven with the aim of advancing access to new technologies."

Throughout the courses, a diagnosis of digital needs will be carried out, face-to-face training actions, tutorials, digital literacy, basic office automation, how to obtain a digital accreditation and its basic management, the use of new technologies (ICTs) in daily life, online tools to find employment and training, group workshops, individualized tutorials and free internet access.
