The Tías City Council creates eight new taxi licenses. On August 22, by decree of the mayor, approved the creation of taxi licenses in the municipality, of which two will be ordinary and six will be for vehicles adapted to PRM (Person with Reduced Mobility).

This percentage exceeds the minimum of five percent established by the Taxi Regulations in its article 5 of Decree 74/2012, of August 2, which provides that "at least five percent of the taxi licenses must correspond to adapted vehicles, in accordance with the regulations governing the basic conditions of accessibility and non-discrimination for access and use of modes of transport for people with disabilities".

The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the councilor of Mobility and Urban Transport, Sergio García, clarify that with the new licenses created, 10.25 percent of adapted vehicles are reached in the municipality.

They specify that the initiation of the file for the creation of these eight taxi licenses was carried out in accordance with the socioeconomic study prepared for the determination of the quota of taxi licenses in the municipality of Tías dated November 21, 2023.

This decree is published in city council bulletin board and will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP).
