The Tías City Council is putting out to tender the concession for the bar-cafeteria of the Masdache socio-cultural center, which also includes terrace areas of the building. With this tender, Masdache joins the reactivation of the Conil and Puerto del Carmen centers after the launch of their bars, where local products are prioritized.

The Councilor for Classified Activities, Mariana Pérez, recalls that the objective of the government group is to "promote socio-cultural centers as meeting places, fundamental for the social life of our towns. The reopening of the Masdache bar-cafeteria will be a boost for the area." All interested parties may visit the facilities next Friday, February 21, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

The Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) today publishes the announcement of the Mayoral resolution referring to this tender. The period for submitting offers ends on March 17 and the minimum amount of the monthly fee to be paid will be 653.67 euros, with an initial deposit of 3,137.63 euros.

The premises will have to be open at least five days a week and the Canary Island product should be promoted, and specifically the Lanzarote product. According to Mariana Pérez, "we want these establishments, so connected with the people, to offer native and local products, which include typical Canarian meals in the menu in a majority way and use products from Lanzarote, as well as wines from the island."

Both the mayor, José Juan Cruz, and Mariana Pérez recall that the reactivation of the socio-cultural centers of Puerto del Carmen and Conil "is being a success, as the bar-cafeterias are working very well, exceeding expectations and consolidating themselves as models of social and gastronomic stimulation."
