The bar-cafeteria of the Puerto del Carmen cultural center opened its doors this week with an offer of typical Canarian meals made with local products. The mayor, José Juan Cruz, and some councilors from the government group attended the inauguration and congratulated the concessionaires.

The opening hours, pending expansion, are from 08:00 to 15:00 every day, offering cafeteria and traditional food services with different recipes of fish, chickpeas, and carne fiesta, among other dishes.

The facilities, located on Lanzarote street, next to the church of Puerto del Carmen, are distributed in a cafeteria lounge, kitchen, warehouse, and two bathrooms with a useful area of 100.22 square meters.

José Juan Cruz and the Councilor for Classified Activities and Heritage, Mariana Pérez, were accompanied by the Councilors of Culture, Festivals, Beaches and Fishing, Pepa González, Miriam Hernández, Christopher Notario and Sergio García, respectively.

The public representatives praised the gastronomic offer of the premises, which also offers local wine, and recalled the importance of "supporting business initiatives in the municipality, thus collaborating in the creation of a diverse and local economic fabric".

As will be recalled, the Tías City Council put out to tender this year the concession of the service of the bars of the socio-cultural centers of Conil, Puerto del Carmen and Masdache with advice to all those interested in the procedure.
