The Tías City Council approved the Comprehensive Action Plan (PAI), called Tías Avanza, within the Urban Agenda, a key strategy that will allow the municipality to apply for EDIL European funds (Integrated Local Development Strategy), destined for sustainable development and improvement of the urban environment.

This plan is structured around two fundamental driving axes: Tías, greener, more sustainable and Promotion of public services in Tías, with the aim of improving the quality of life of citizens, promoting sustainable growth and promoting a more efficient and resilient development model.

The total investment planned for both axes amounts to 14,887,812.20 euros, an amount that will be requested in the EDIL fund call. The European Union will finance 85% of that amount, so the City Council will cover 15% with its own funds. The execution of the Plan will extend until 2029.

The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, highlights the importance of this step for the future of the municipality and advances that the approval of the PAI "represents our commitment to a modern Urban Agenda adapted to current challenges. With this initiative, we not only reinforce our commitment to sustainability and digitization, but we also position ourselves to access EDIL funds and continue advancing in the transformation of our municipality."

The Urban Agenda of Tías is configured as a strategic roadmap that promotes innovative projects in mobility, renewable energies, digitization of services and revaluation of public space, among other areas.

A fundamental aspect in the elaboration of the PAI has been citizen participation, allowing local residents and groups to contribute their proposals and needs, thus ensuring that the plan reflects the true demands of the community.
