The eleventh edition of the Saborea Lanzarote Enogastronomic Festival, an international event with cuisine that will take place this Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24, 2024, in the Villa de Teguise, will have among its public services aimed at citizens the Orange Point that will be managed by the Third Sector groups, with the coordination of the Area of Social Welfare and Inclusion of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
For months, the transversal Diver project, sponsored by the department, "turns any social or cultural gathering of significance into an opportunity to integrate all diverse participants".
Marci Acuña highlights the importance of creating inclusive environments where all people, regardless of their abilities, can enjoy community events. "People with disabilities cannot change these stressful situations, but it is our responsibility as public administrations to guarantee an accessible space that allows them to fully enjoy any activity," she says.
The counselor wanted to thank the eight Lanzarote associations that fill this collaborative project with solidarity. "Rotary, LanzaroteTea, Tribarte, La Vida Zuaina, Aporta, Esperanza y Vida, Más Familia and AMPA Los Geranios are the main groups in a joint work that we will see again this weekend at Saborea Lanzarote, a work that has an impact on the most vulnerable; and with which the Cabildo de Lanzarote also manages to help them with financing so that they can face some of their multiple projects," Marci Acuña detailed.
Remember that the promotional image of the Diver project, which is developed by the Institution, was designed by the Lanzarote artist Guio Santana, who used imaginative and inclusive values in the creation of the design. The Orange Point will be available to those who need it during the two days.
The XI Saborea Lanzarote Festival is organized by the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, and the City Council of Teguise.
