The works of the Socio-sports Center of Argana Alta are completed, a project framed in the 'Social Listening Arrecife', highlighted this Wednesday the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
“We culminate one of the interventions demanded and necessary for the neighbors of the Argana Alta neighborhood”, said the vice president and head of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, who recently visited the premises with the mayor and head of Municipal Works, Yonathan de León.
In addition, Medina explained that this new facility, located in the capital city, has the main objective of “promoting social inclusion as well as fighting against poverty and any type or form of discrimination”.
The mayor Yonathan de León, has assured that after the works, “the creation of a participatory space for the social listening of the neighborhood has been achieved, which can be used by sports, social and any kind of associations”.
The premises for the "social listening Arrecife" is completely "accessible", and has three large glass rooms for social gatherings of neighbors, in addition to bathrooms adapted for people with reduced mobility.
The project was financed with Funds from the Regional Development (FEDER), within the Strategy of Sustainable Urban Development 'Conurban Azul', Operational Program of Sustainable Growth 2014-2020; and had a total budget of "157,395.63 euros".
