The Tourist Centers have returned to normal this Monday after the workers decided to end the strike while waiting for the extraordinary plenary session requested by the opposition to be convened. Hundreds of tourists were queuing early in the morning at the doors of some of the centers, such as Montañas del Fuego, Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes, to visit them after being closed for 20 days.

The workers of the Tourist Centers offered a press conference this Sunday to announce their decision to call off the strikes. "We are not going to be accomplices of Pedro San Ginés' irresponsibility", "we cannot continue the madness of a madman", said Andrés Barreto, when announcing that the staff would return to work this Monday. However, he warned that they will resume the strike if the proposal agreed upon by PSOE, Podemos, PP, Somos and Cs with the Works Council is not executed and that it will be voted on in that plenary session or if there is the "slightest reprisal" against the workers who have supported the strikes.

The announcement of the suspension of the strike has been applauded by the different opposition parties who, however, have asked the president of the Cabildo to "fulfill his duty" and convene the plenary session to put an end to the conflict in the CACT. From the institution, however, although a statement was sent in which Pedro San Ginés and Echedey Eugenio were pleased with the suspension of the strike, no reference was made to the reason that led the workers to suspend the stoppages nor was a date set for the plenary session convened by the opposition.
