The storm located in the Madeira area is approaching the Canary Islands. According to the head of Aemet in the Archipelago, Irene Sanz, one of these fronts will arrive in Lanzarote around 6:00 p.m. in the form of heavy rainfall, gusts of wind and electrical storm.

During this Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be very unappetizing in Lanzarote, where they will have to endure "rain, winds and a bad state of the sea". With respect to the precipitations, Aemet has decreed the orange alert, since it is expected that about 30 liters of water per square meter will fall on the island in just one hour.

In addition, it is expected that in 12 hours 90 liters of water will be recorded, as well as gusts of wind of up to 70 kilometers per hour. "This is a storm that comes associated with a storm," explains Irene Sanz.

This storm that comes from Madeira will affect the eastern islands to a greater extent, unlike the storm that was recorded at the beginning of February. Although the bad weather will continue to hit La Palma and Tenerife harder, this storm, however, will be noticed in Lanzarote.

"It is very similar to the previous storm. The difference is that the one registered on February 1 was very persistent and, on this occasion, it is very fast, that is, it enters today and leaves tomorrow," indicates the head of Aemet in the Canary Islands.

However, he also affirms that the storm will not leave definitively until Friday, where the weather is expected to improve until Saturday. However, the sun will not rise for long, since on Sunday Aemet predicts that the weather conditions in Lanzarote will worsen again.
