The Agricultural and Craft Market of San Bartolomé reopens this Sunday, August 2, "with all the guarantees of safety and hygiene." This was announced by the City Council, which recalls that this market "intends to value our products of the land and crafts", so that residents and visitors can buy "in the same space grains, cheeses, fruit, vegetables, dried fish, tollos, pejines, vegetables, pastries and also take an original and handmade piece to give as a gift or for personal use."
The Plaza León y Castillo de San Bartolomé will host a new edition from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the use of masks and hydroalcoholic gel will be mandatory in each of the stalls, "asking visitors to also comply with the required measures."
"We thank Civil Protection in advance for their collaboration in this event, to ensure that social distancing and security measures are met," they say from the Consistory.
The mayor, Alexis Tejera, has encouraged to participate and make purchases at the stalls that will be installed for the occasion, emphasizing that these actions "promote kilometer zero consumption and are also an outlet for our crafts and local products." "Little by little we are resuming the agenda of face-to-face activities," added the mayor, who also wanted to "thank the work of the councilors of Agriculture, Raúl de León, and Crafts, Ana María Lopes, organizers of the market."
