This Sunday, March 9, the Cabildo of Lanzarote has announced the reopening of the LZ-10 road, known as Curvas de Malpaso, after its closure on Saturday, March 8 due to a specific landslide caused by heavy rains. The incident caused some stones to fall on the road surface, which forced the road to be closed to guarantee the safety of drivers.
The Minister of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, explained that the closure was necessary to carry out cleaning work and secure the affected area. “Our priority is to guarantee the safety of all road users. In collaboration with the Security and Emergency Consortium, we have worked quickly and efficiently to reopen the road as soon as possible,” Medina said.
The Cabildo of Lanzarote has thanked the public for their understanding of the inconvenience caused and has recalled the importance of respecting provisional signs in situations of this type.
