The PSOE of Teguise has denounced the "lamentable" state of the road from El Mojón to Guatiza, in the municipality of Teguise.

"This road, which is used by the residents of the municipality, has numerous potholes and holes that endanger road traffic," say the socialists, who state that "currently there are potholes that can exceed five centimeters in depth, causing damage to vehicles, many of which are owned by residents of the area who now refuse to travel on said road due to the danger it poses."

According to the PSOE of Teguise, the road shows "a deplorable state, since it was partially resurfaced years ago." “The mayor Oswaldo Betancort, as the person in charge, must fix it in its entirety to prevent it from remaining in this current state of neglect for a long time and not patch it up to get by, as he has done on previous occasions,” says the socialist councilor Jenifer Galán.

The councilors of the PSOE of Teguise verified the state of the road in situ, stating that “after traveling the road in its entirety, there are areas that have considerable potholes that make it almost impossible to drive through this section that is used daily by farmers in the area and even tourists who venture to explore the interior of the towns of our municipality. “What we see are many photos showing off the most beautiful towns in Spain, but the truth is that there are many small towns that today suffer from neglect by the mayor and cannot be neglected,” says Galán.

Thus, the PSOE of Teguise demands that the mayor, Oswaldo Betancort, and his government group of the Canarian Coalition "work on the maintenance of the roads in the municipality of Teguise to prevent the problem from worsening, and in the future, a misfortune may be regretted due to the state in which it is located."
