The PSOE of Lanzarote asks Coalición Canaria to explain if its commitment to burying a part of the highway that runs between Arrecife and the airport, as it passes through Playa Honda, "is due to the fact that the businessman Eduardo Spínola finances them."
The island secretary of Territorial Planning of the PSOE of Lanzarote, Cristina Duque, reminds Coalición Canaria that the Socialist Party “has not changed its position” in relation to the Órzola-Playa Blanca axis, a main road on the island that is under the jurisdiction of the Autonomous Community.
Cristina Duque assures that, "for about 20 years, this axis has contemplated the bypass to the commercial and industrial area of Playa Honda to the north, connecting the Doctor Molina Orosa General Hospital with a new roundabout for access to the airport. In this way, the current road between Arrecife and the airport, as it passes through Playa Honda, would become an urban road, boulevard type, with speed limits and would connect said town with the commercial and industrial area."
Therefore, “here the only one who has changed their position has been Coalición Canaria, who until the day before yesterday defended the ring road and, lately, has joined the undergrounding that Eduardo Spínola advocates in defense of his particular interests, although disguised as general interest, and they will know why.”
Likewise, the spokesperson for the PSOE of Lanzarote invites Coalición Canaria “to look within its ranks if it wants to investigate alleged plots in the collection of commissions in Lanzarote.” Finally, Duque states that the PSOE of Lanzarote feels “ashamed” with the information that is being disseminated about the mediator case and that “we will defend the clarification of the facts until the end, even if, if necessary, whoever has to fall will fall.”
