CC asks Corujo to explain if there is a relationship between the 'Mediator' and the decision not to bury the LZ-2

The nationalists urge the socialist leader, "who has remained silent since the scandal broke," to specify whether Marco Antonio Navarro has intervened in the granting of any public works in Lanzarote.

Coalición Canaria will request the appearance of María Dolores Corujo as president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and general secretary of the PSOE on the island, so that she "clarifies if she knows Marco Antonio Navarro Tacoronte, the man who gives name to the ‘Mediator case’, after he stated this week that he worked on several islands for the commission collection scheme, assuring that in the case of Lanzarote he was sent to stop a 300 million euro road”.

The nationalists demand that Corujo "explain if these statements have anything to do with the change of position of the PSOE with respect to the burying of the LZ-2 as it passes through Playa Honda, opting instead for a cheaper and more environmentally damaging project such as the construction of a new highway between Lanzarote airport and the Argana link, on the LZ-3, which gives access to the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital.

CC also urges the socialist leader, "who has remained silent since the scandal broke, to specify if Navarro has intervened in the granting of any public works in Lanzarote. Let her show her face and show off that dignity and transparency that she came to bring to the Cabildo”, they assert.

For the island secretary of Coalición Canaria, Migdalia Machín, "there are many explanations that the island PSOE and María Dolores Corujo have to give as the highest leader of the main institution on the island since “the credibility of the Ministry of Public Works, Transportation and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands, whose highest official, Sebastián Franquis, assures that no member of his management team has maintained contact with any of the investigated, is on the ground”.
