The Socialist Group of the Tinajo City Council has denounced the “null management of the Canary Coalition government in the first year of this legislature.” This was stated by the socialist councilor and spokesperson, Begoña Hernández, who accuses Jesús Machín's management of “paralyzing and harming the municipality more and more each day.”

Hernández denounces that the Canary Coalition continues to show, for yet another legislature, “the absence of a project and a routine management without the ambition that Tinajo needs to become the municipality that its residents deserve.”

The socialist councilor has denounced that “Machín is accumulating unfulfilled electoral promises.” Hernández refers to key projects for the future of the municipality such as the modification and approval of the General Plan or the improvement of the municipality's connectivity.

Likewise, she points out that there are works whose projects still rest in the drawer, such as the changing rooms and visor of the soccer field, or others that do not even have a project, such as the Dolores parking lot, the municipal swimming pool and the construction of protected housing for rent, projects that generated expectations in the citizens during the electoral campaign and once Jesús Machín was in office, they have been forgotten and have not been mentioned again. “It is important to remember so many unfulfilled promises and to have transparency and responsibility. The silence of the mayor is worrying,” adds the socialist councilor.

Likewise, Hernández denounces “the paralysis of the construction works of new municipal offices in the old medical office and the remodeling of the Socio-cultural Centers of Cuchillo and La Santa, which began between 2022 and 2023, and have not yet been completed.” Hernández adds that the start of the works on the sports facilities of La Vegueta and Tinajo are also still pending. “What is becoming increasingly evident is that while other municipalities are moving forward, Tinajo is moving at a different speed, slowed down by a mayor installed in the comfort of the majority,” she concluded.
