The PSOE of San Bartolomé shows its support for Playa Honda to have a new health center

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, along with the councilors of the Socialist Municipal Group, went this Thursday to the signature collection point located at the Deiland Commercial Center to show their support for this citizen initiative aimed at making visible the need for the population center of Playa Honda to have, as soon as possible, a new health center adapted to the current reality of the area.

The campaign, which has the slogan ‘Playa Honda unites for its health’, will run until next June 7. Those interested in showing their support can do so on May 16 and 21 at Deiland, on May 9 at the Playa Honda Market, and on May 13, May 20, and June 5 at the clinic. Likewise, many local businesses are collaborating in this collection of support, so there will be signature sheets available in cafes, hairdressers, pharmacies, shops, bakeries, academies, or sports centers, among others.

Isidro Pérez praises this initiative, "a clear demonstration of the commitment of the citizens of San Bartolomé to the well-being and improvement of public services." As he recalls, the City Council has been carrying out the necessary procedures and clearing each of the obstacles encountered by the new health center project. "We have the land and we have the project, but the null political will of the CC-PP pact in Lanzarote and the Canary Islands prevents it from moving forward," he laments.

Pérez emphasizes that this citizen initiative "is in line with what the City Council has been defending for years: a health center proportionate to the population growth that Playa Honda has registered and in line with current needs."

Finally, the PSOE informs that next Tuesday, May 12, the Municipal Government Group will hold a neighborhood meeting at the Playa Honda Civic Center to address the current situation of this demand and reiterate its support for the citizen campaign undertaken in favor of the materialization of this urgent service.
