The spokesperson for the PSOE of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, has denounced "the paralysis for weeks of major works for the municipality such as the Viewpoint and Interpretation Center and the demanded sports court of Órzola".
"You have to be serious in management and when the execution of a work is 'sold' in the media, at a minimum, comply with the deadlines and do not paralyze it. With this attitude, we see again the policy of the mayor Marci Acuña and his party Coalición Canaria, rushing for the photo and selling something that is not carried out," says Villalba.
The PSOE spokesperson recalls that the northern City Council put out to tender the contract for the rehabilitation works of the Viewpoint and Interpretation Center of Haría in April 2018 with a budget of 296,599 euros. "Its execution period was six months. However, for weeks the blockage of the works has been evident," says Villalba, who assures that "the same thing happens with the much-demanded sports court of Órzola". "The work, with a budget of 49,219.37 euros, should have been completed within a maximum period of three months, that is, last December. However, the work has not finished," he points out.
Thus, the socialist demands that the mayor "put more interest in the citizen demand and comply with the deadlines of the works since the blockage in both is neither understood nor fair for the residents of Haría".
