The PSOE of Arrecife states that it has discovered new payments to the owners of the Ginory land ordered by the Arrecife City Council, specifically another 287,771.44 euros “that have gone directly from the municipal coffers to the current account of these gentlemen.”
According to them, the payments occurred on February 22, with two transfers of more than 144,000 euros. “This is one more example of the lies that have been handled with this real estate operation by the mayor,” denounces the socialist councilor Cristina Duque.
“Astrid told all citizens that with the more than 20 million euros paid to the owners of Ginory at the end of last year, we were going to save a lot of money, and that the City Council was turning the page, suspending the payment plan,” recalls the councilor.
Now, she regrets that these transfers “have been made, as always, hiding from the citizen of Arrecife what they do with public funds, and against what was agreed in the plenary session of the Arrecife City Council on January 5, in which the PSOE proposal was unanimously voted on.”
In a statement, the socialists also warn the mayor that they “will guarantee at all times that the citizen of the municipality is informed of the opaque payments and financial operations that may occur in the Arrecife City Council.”
