María Dolores Corujo, accompanied this Monday, April 24, on her visit to the Island, her counterpart in the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, to learn firsthand about the project to promote the labor inclusion of a dozen women victims of gender violence 'Empleo Sobre Ruedas', as reported by the Cabildo.
The president was able to verify "the operation of this recognized and outstanding social initiative at the national level and meet the women protagonists of the project", they collect.
Corujo thanked "Torres' presence" and "his effort to personally learn about this project and its protagonists." Likewise, she highlighted "the work of the 'Nos Movemos' Foundation in the development of 'Empleo Sobre Ruedas', giving a new opportunity to the participants".
Ángel Victor, highlighted the "admiration" he feels for these women and "the importance" of this project "working for their inclusion in a "masculinized" sector such as transport", while "for their social inclusion", belonging to the group of women victims of gender violence.
On the other hand, the protagonists of the project have thanked Torres for the visit and "the interest" shown by the president and highlighted "the enriching experience that this challenge is entailing", from a personal and professional point of view, as well as "the environment" in which it is being developed, they say.
The initiative is promoted from the areas of Social Rights and Equality of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, coordinated by the 'Nos Movemos' Foundation and has the financing of the Canarian Institute of Equality, recalls the Cabildo.
