The Popular Party of Tinajo has once again demanded that the government of Jesús Machín launch a municipal nursery that "responds to the work-life balance needs of many families." "A demand that is not new but that becomes more important given the imminent closure of the only private nursery that currently exists and that leaves parents without options within the municipality," they say from the party.

With the education places from 0 to 3 years already closed, there are many parents who work and need longer hours and a dining service. “Tinajo, unlike the rest of the municipalities on the island, does not have a public nursery, so families are faced with a serious problem that they do not know how to solve,” says the local coordinator of the PP, Carmen Camiñas.

“We already said more than two years ago that municipal leaders should make the creation of this service a priority because it is essential for many families. The truth is that nothing has been done in this regard and now that demand is even greater because parents have run out of options,” Camiñas stresses.

The Popular Party joins the campaign to collect signatures that has been promoted by the parents affected by the closure and urge the municipal government to "get to work so that Tinajo can have this service as soon as possible." “We are aware that the solution cannot come overnight, but what the Government cannot do is stand idly by and not include the nursery as a priority,” they conclude.
