The Popular Party in the Cabildo of Lanzarote denounces "the deterioration that the intercity public transport service has experienced in recent months, especially with regard to connections with Playa Blanca and the corridor between the capital and the tourist areas of Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen."

"User complaints have been increasing, especially those of citizens who use public transport to get to their jobs as they are the most affected and harmed by the delay in the scheduled times, when not because the buses are already full and do not stop. Similarly, the services established for weekends are also insufficient," they point out from the PP.

For the Popular Party, there has been a "relaxation and a lack of attention to the operation of the service" that has caused a "progressive deterioration" of the same. In his recent proposal to establish a direct connection between Tinajo and Playa Blanca, the PP councilor, Jacobo Medina, warned of the "need to strengthen current connections with tourist locations if the Cabildo really wants to promote sustainable mobility and the use of public transport to the detriment of private vehicles."

Medina recalls that, "in addition to being an alternative, moving by bus is the only option that many people have to go to their jobs, so the management must be oriented to the improvement and constant updating of the service."
