The Popular Party of Tías regrets that "the tripartite government, with the PSOE and Podemos, and the absent councilor Mame Fernández, break the illusion of the boys and girls of Puerto del Carmen, by promoting the City Council of Tías to develop the Cavalcade of Kings in the largest residential nucleus of Tías, and tourist of Lanzarote, in the morning with families working."
The president of the Local Committee of the PP in Tías and councilor in the Corporation, Kiko Aparicio, warns that the Government of José Juan Cruz Saavedra is once again organizing the Cavalcade in Puerto del Carmen in the morning "when families have more difficulties to take the little ones to it because it coincides with working hours." From the PP "they do not understand this stubbornness of the mayor and his government partners, in scheduling this event at that inopportune and disastrous time that will prevent thousands of families in the municipality from enjoying a highly anticipated event on the eve of Reyes."
Kiko Aparicio disapproves of this decision of the tripartite that "will force many families to contemplate the parades in other municipalities because of this senselessness of Cruz Saavedra, who cannot claim lack of experience as he is currently mayor and politician in Lanzarote with more working life charging from the municipal public coffers."
"Little Christmas lighting and absence of events that boost the municipality in these Christmas Holidays"
Similarly, Kiko Aparicio shares the criticisms that the tripartite of the City Council of Tías is receiving for the "deficient Christmas lighting in these holidays and the little and bad programming of dynamizing activities linked to these Christmas and New Year holidays both in Puerto del Carmen, as well as the urban center of Tías and the rural areas."
From the PP it is considered that "this terrible organization evidences the lack of initiatives and the great setback that the municipality is experiencing during the current mandate, where activities rooted in the Christmas calendar of Puerto del Carmen that were promoted in the stage of good management of the PP have been erased from the programming, after taking the City Council out of the serious economic crisis in which it was left after the stage as mayor of Cruz Saavedra."
