The mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín Duque, has made his position available to the Local Committee of the Canarian Coalition in said municipality during a telematic meeting that the Permanent Executive Commission of the party in Lanzarote held on the afternoon of this Friday. After sending a statement to the media in which he assumed and acknowledged that the traffic accident in which he was involved this Tuesday, stating that it was due to “a mistake that will not happen again”, Jesús Machín wanted to apologize to his colleagues.
According to CC, it was Machín himself who requested the convocation of this body in which the seven local committees are represented, through their secretariats and their municipal spokespersons, in addition to the general secretaries of the Nationalist Youth of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands, the latter also secretary of National Organization of the Canarian Coalition.
"The different members of the Permanent Canarian Coalition have valued his sincerity, his courage and the work that he has been developing as a public official for more than thirty years", they pointed out from the party after the meeting.
Likewise, the mayor has requested another meeting, this time with the members of the CC Local Committee in Tinajo and that will take place this weekend, to "also convey his apologies, give the necessary explanations about what happened and announce his decision to make his position in the City Council available to what the municipal body decides."
