The councilor of Vox in Teguise, Ginés González, has confessed that he "expected more" from the results obtained after the municipal elections, "at least two councilors, because people stopped me on the street and told me they were followers" of the party.

Since the formation was announced, "I have been a supporter, I share a lot with its values, principles and common sense," he said this Thursday. During an interview granted to the morning show Buenos Días, Lanzarote, Ginés González assured that the party chose him as a candidate in the Lanzarote municipality. "They also wanted to include young people who were eager to work. There were interviews and they selected me," he said on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero.

Of the 452 votes received by the formation chaired nationally by Santiago Abascal, "more than half" come from the tourist area of the municipality, Costa Teguise, according to the candidate of the formation. However, he assured that he has received votes from all over the municipality.

Regarding the possibilities of supporting some of the formations that obtained greater representation, Ginés González has asserted that "Marcos (Bergaz) called me to congratulate me, he didn't mention anything about a pact or suggest abstentions or anything. From there, the first on the list of the remaining parties, none of them have called me. It's not something that depends solely on me. What they decide (from the board) will be what's necessary."
