The Management of Health Services of the Lanzarote Health Area, attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, has put out to tender the works for the new Outpatient Consultations area of the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital, which will be located on the ground floor of the hospital center, allowing for a larger and more accessible space for patient care.

The tender budget amounts to 1,548,645 euros and the execution period for the works is estimated at seven months from the corresponding administrative authorizations. The deadline for submitting bids is January 30.

The works will be carried out on a total area of 1,043 square meters on the ground floor of the Hospital, which until a few months ago was used for administrative activities. These works will begin after the demolition of the ground floor offices previously occupied by management staff, who have been moved to new premises in the Registry building on Arrecife's main avenue.

New spaces

The new care area will house a Day Hospital for Cardio-Neurology, the Pain unit with three consultation rooms and one treatment room, and the Consultation area which will have twelve new consultation rooms distributed among the different specialties.

Likewise, the project includes a nursing consultation, a multipurpose consultation room, two waiting rooms—one external and one internal—and various spaces for storage, restrooms, an office, and staff changing roomsIt should be noted that **the works will not affect the existing structure of the building nor do they contemplate the execution of new structural elements**. The project does include the execution of the necessary installations for the correct functioning of the area, such as low-voltage electrical installations, fire protection systems, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems, the medical gas network, and telecommunications infrastructure
