The Nationalist Youth of the Canary Islands approved the weekend, in the National Tagoror held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, its new corporate logo, after the completion of an open and participatory contest that began at the end of last October.
With this contest, the JNC wanted to take a further step after the entry of the new youth leadership of Coalición Canaria last May "and open the organization to the Canarian citizenship so that they also feel part of each and every one of the decisions and processes that the JNC execute in their organization."
According to the Nationalist Youth, almost a dozen proposals were submitted to the contest and were submitted to a vote in the National Tagoror. The winning design, by Enrique López Moreno, focuses on the star, "which symbolizes youth, dynamism, transversality, always in motion, maintaining the direction towards the continent." "At the same time that it symbolizes the whole of Canarian nationalism in a modern, integrating, united and unique Canarian Nation," the Nationalist Youth point out.
"We are happy with the impact and acceptance that the contest has had. From the moment this team took over the reins of management, we were clear that the JNC was going to be an organization of all the young people of the Canary Islands, regardless of whether they were members or not, since we understood that this is a transversal organization that adds to all young people, so we wanted our corporate image to be designed by the young talents we have in this land. It has been a success to open the party and the clear answer is the logo that we have the pleasure of presenting today," said the general secretary of the JNC, David Toledo, who also wanted to convey his gratitude to the participants in the contest and congratulate them "for the high quality of the work done."
