The Tinajo Renewal Movement (MRT) has publicly expressed its "satisfaction" in a press release because the municipality of Tinajo currently has a 24-hour operational ambulance service, an essential resource for the safety and healthcare of residents and visitors.

For years, the entity EMERLAN provided ambulance services in Tinajo during nighttime hours, from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, through an agreement with the Tinajo City Council. However, a few months ago, EMERLAN made public the existing debt owed by the City Council and warned that, if not paid, the service could cease to be provided.

From the MRT, and through its spokesperson, Antonio Morales, this situation has been denounced: "The irresponsibility of the Tinajo government is outrageous, as it has put a service so necessary for the municipality at risk by failing to meet its payment obligations."

Given this scenario, the Tinajo Renewal Movement expressly thanks the Government of the Canary Islands for "having assumed the costs of the service, thus guaranteeing the Tinajo, but also a large area of the island comprised between the Timanfaya National Park, Caleta de Famara, the center of the island, and towns like La Santa". “We are in an area with a National Park, heavily frequented trails, and spaces of great sporting and tourist activity. It is only fair that there be an ambulance service available 24 hours a day,” Morales stated.

The MRT also acknowledges "the involvement of the new direction of Coalición Canaria in Lanzarote and, in particular, of its general secretary, whose intervention was key to enabling the necessary economic allocation": "In this case, the most important thing was to secure funding, and that was finally achieved".Finally, the Tinajo Renewal Movement expresses its gratitude to EMERLAN for the services provided over all these years and for their commitment to the general interest: "Despite the debt not having been paid by the City Council, they have always fulfilled what was agreed upon, maintaining the service and demonstrating enormous social responsibility."
