The Local Police of Arrecife has closed the balance of the month of January where the preventive controls to reinforce road safety, has allowed the identification of up to 45 drivers who were circulating on the roads of the city lacking the mandatory insurance, without counting the automobiles with the ITV, and even irregularities in the driving licenses.
During these nine years, the agents of the Local Police are reinforcing preventive controls in different nightlife areas, and sensitive areas in the neighborhoods of Arrecife. In parallel, different devices have been activated to reinforce road safety, and to control that drivers comply with the rules.
In the balance of police services, registered during the past month of January, in addition to these 45 identifications, and sanctions, the agents of the Local Police Corps of Arrecife have intervened a driver of a special vehicle (type forklift) that was circulating on the public road lacking the vehicle of registration, the driver without a driving license and an alcohol level of 0.44 mg/l when he was performing his working day.
The Local Police of Arrecife has been equipped, in recent months, with new technological systems that allow it, in real time, to access the databases of the DGT, and determine the status and situation of each vehicle, in addition to the information regarding the holders of driving licenses.
In some of these preventive controls, the Local Police of Arrecife has had the close collaboration of agents of the National Police Corps attached to the National Police Station of Arrecife.
