On Friday night, the closing ceremony of the security and emergency days in traffic accident rescues was held at the Casa Monumento el Campesino restaurant.

The Vice President of the Cabildo and President of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, Marcos Bergaz, pointed out that "once again, Lanzarote has demonstrated its capacity to host events of maximum relevance, such as this national meeting that has made us a benchmark for security in Spain." "From the Consortium we want to thank all the participants who have allowed us to complete an ambitious program of events with great follow-up, involvement and results."

During the event, the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium presented a gift in gratitude to the entities Incipresa - Holmatro, Weber Rosenbauer, Bosch, Gore-tex, Rescate Jota and Protec - Solana for sponsoring the meeting. And also, to the collaborators, among which were: Recimetal, Diadora, Lumar, Metabo, Inox Naval, Cabrera Medina, Club La Santa, Aquavia and the staff of the Department of Council, Roads and Works of the Arrecife City Council, for making possible the organization and realization of the firefighters meeting. Likewise, the Professional Association of Rescue in Traffic Accidents (APRAT) was responsible for awarding several recognitions to the effectiveness of firefighters and paramedics in traffic interventions carried out in the maneuvers.

In this way, the best technical team was "Generalitat de Catalunya Rubi", the most outstanding command was awarded to "Consorcio de Valencia Gandía", and the most outstanding health worker was "Consorcio de Valencia Gandía". The "Consorcio de Valencia Gandía" emerged as the winner in both standard maneuver and rapid maneuver and in the general classification by teams. This team is qualified for the World Cup that will be held this year in Luxembourg, as is the second overall classified, which was "Generalitat de Catalunya Rubi".

Learning in the field of security

This meeting of firefighters and emergency teams, in addition to publicizing the work of firefighters and paramedics to citizens, has highlighted learning in the field of security and rescue. After its development, the objective of sharing and improving the techniques that the teams execute in order to achieve the greatest efficiency in the care of victims in traffic accidents, maintaining a high level of security, has been achieved.

In this way, a week dedicated to improving security in Spain concludes successfully, through maneuver simulations, technical training days, and updating the organization of the ConBé. Laying the necessary foundations to be able to form the prelude to the world cup that Lanzarote will host in 2023, which represents one more opportunity for the training and preparation of these professionals and the promotion of the Island as the epicenter of security.
