The Island Directorate celebrates Open Administration Week with activities for citizens

The Island Directorate of the General State Administration in Lanzarote organized a series of activities on the occasion of Open Administration Week, which was held from May 19 to 23, with the aim of promoting closeness between citizens and public institutions.

During these days, guided tours were carried out to the headquarters of the Island Directorate, as well as talks given by the National Police and the Civil Guard aimed at specific groups on the island. In particular, there was the participation of the El Cribo Association and the students of the CEIP Capellanía del Yágabo, in addition to an informative day for the College of Social Graduates of Lanzarote.

These activities, together with the plan The Administration close to you, are intended to strengthen the relationship between the State Administration and the island's citizens.

Open Administration Week is an initiative promoted by the General Directorate of Public Governance of the Government of Spain, and is based on the principles of transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.

With this program, the Island Directorate intends that its management be closer, more understandable and accessible to all the people who live in Lanzarote.
