The Governing Council of the Canary Islands has not considered the possibility of dismissing the director of the Canarian Health Service (SCS), Adasat Goya, after being accused by deputy Yoné Caraballo (Nueva Canarias) of disclosing private data about his health during a parliamentary committee meeting.

The executive's spokesperson, Alfonso Cabello, has confirmed that this issue has not been raised in the Government meeting, although he pointed out that the episode "was not fortunate," defining it as "an exchange of accusations."

"The atmosphere of tension is not good, that rough and tense tone is not the most appropriate, there has been an exchange of accusations regarding whether or not that data had been previously published on social media by the Nueva Canarias deputy himself," Cabello said.

The spokesperson added that the Government does not want to contribute "to further increasing that tension" and assured that we must not "import bad habits and bad practices from Madrid."
