The President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, has asked the representatives of the institutions to avoid political tension and personal attacks, in reference to what happened last week in the Health Committee of the Parliament of the Canary Islands.
In it, the director of the Canary Islands Health Service, Adasat Goya, mentioned medical data of the deputy of Nueva Canarias, Yone Caraballo, which has led the party led by Luis Campos to demand his dismissal and to warn that it is considering criminal actions.
In this regard, Clavijo said that he has not been able to listen to the specific intervention, but that he considers that "it was not a fortunate commission", from what he has been told.
Regarding what happened, he indicated that "there is confusion, because it seems that the data said by the director are data that the deputy had already published on his Facebook."
Therefore, "I don't know if there was a disclosure or not, or (Adasat Goya) echoed what the deputy (Yone Caraballo) himself had published on his networks, but, in any case, entering the personal realm I don't think is positive."
Clavijo has insisted on the need to avoid generating political tension: "We ask that the deputies address the executive members with respect and education and we are going to address the deputies at all times with respect and education, because, in democracy and in an institution that represents the sovereignty of the Canarian people, that is how things have to be done."
"Let's apply our Canarian way to understand each other, to talk, to dialogue, to confront, to discuss, if necessary, but always without entering the personal realm and, of course, with the respect and decorum that is due," he added.
