The counselor of Nueva Canarias, Daisy Villalba, has finally presented this Friday a letter to the Cabildo resigning from her position in the first institution of Lanzarote. A decision that is motivated by the incompatibility of her political position with that of a career civil servant.
After Villalba's departure, Armando Santana, number three on the nationalists' list, will take her place.
The circumstance is that last year, after the election results, Armando Santana abandoned politics and his party Nueva Canarias - Frente Canarista Amplio (NC-FCA). Among other things, Santana argued "to give way to people with other projects" and to "value" his personal life.
However, according to La Voz, Armando Santana will take the position of counselor in the Cabildo, although he has not confirmed it and has declined to make statements.
Nueva Canarias has called the media to a press conference for Monday, July 29 at ten in the morning at the island headquarters "where the political situation of the counselor of Nueva Canarias-Bloque Canarista in the Insular Cabildo of Lanzarote, Daisy Villalba, will be reported".
