The Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote plans to create a list of replacements for the Professional Firefighters Corps. The objective, as explained by the president of this organization and councilor responsible for the area, Echedey Eugenio, is to "immediately cover long-term sick leave while contributing to boost the labor market and provide opportunities for trained professionals who are waiting for work".

In this sense, a meeting of the negotiating table is scheduled for next Friday the 18th, in which the bases of the call for the creation of the aforementioned list will be established, according to reports from the Cabildo. This negotiating table will include the participation of union representatives of the Professional Firefighters Corps of the Consortium, as well as the management of this consortium body and external advisors.

The councilor assures that "the creation of this list of professionals, which will be used in a consensual and collegiate manner with the staff, aims to serve to end a historical problem that has affected the staff of the Firefighters Corps".
