The Tías City Council has hired two educators, a lawyer and a social worker from July 1, 2025 to March 13, 2026 to execute the project called Red Viva. The purpose of this project is for the municipal community intervention strategy Conecta Tías to establish itself as a benchmark in the dialogue between the entities attached to the strategy, public administrations and citizens.

Red Viva has been financed by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Youth, Equality, Childhood and Family of the Government of the Canary Islands with a direct subsidy of 100,000 euros.

For the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, "the consolidation of Conecta Tías through the Red Viva project represents a firm step towards a close, participatory and effective social policy. We are committed to networking and collaboration between administrations and entities to continue improving the quality of life of our citizens."

The Councilor for Social Services and Citizen Participation, Nicolás Saavedra, explains that "this initiative allows us to reinforce the work we have been developing for years with Conecta Tías, incorporating professional profiles that will help us to deepen community support, guidance and intervention.

Currently, 45 entities from different areas of action (health, inclusion, sports, advice, elderly, youth, etc.) are attached to Conecta Tías, with which collaborative and coordinated work is carried out to carry out actions that provide more specialized knowledge or services in relation to various topics, such as disability, immigration or the welfare state, among others.

It is worth mentioning that, within the advances of the strategy, "the increase in the involvement and commitment of the different areas of the Tías City Council stands out, which have seen in Conecta Tías an ally with which to create synergies that increase efficiency in the use of resources and time (shared and collaborative activities, no duplication of actions...)".

In addition to the above, this networking allows interventions to be more effective, sustainable and adapted to the real needs of the community, promoting a fairer, more equitable and participatory development.

Objective of Red Viva

The objective is for Conecta Tías to establish itself as a key point of communication and representation that facilitates continuous dialogue between the parties involved. This role as an interlocutor will allow us to contribute effectively to decision-making related to the social and community sphere, thus promoting the interests and needs of our community.

The aim is to promote cooperation between related initiatives, regardless of the area in which they are developed. To this end, Conecta Tías is established as a channel of collaboration between various initiatives and projects that pursue similar objectives.

This collaborative approach allows the creation of strategic alliances, which facilitates the optimization of resources and the strengthening of the capacities of each entity involved. By working together, a greater impact is achieved in the communities and significant progress towards common goals.

In this sense, it is also crucial to facilitate the exchange of experiences and methodologies of social intervention. Through collaboration spaces, meetings, workshops and other activities, entities are encouraged to share their best practices, innovative approaches and methodologies that have proven to be effective in their interventions. This constant exchange not only enriches the activities and projects of each entity, but also creates an environment of collective learning that fosters continuous improvement.

In addition, this project aims to advance in different lines. On the one hand, with the dissemination of good practices in the community, making visible the experiences and successful methodologies of the entities. And, on the other hand, the focus on promoting networking as a strategic tool, which facilitates the exchange of resources and experiences, and expands the quality of interventions.

In short, this comprehensive approach seeks to strengthen cooperation, representation and collective learning, consolidating Conecta Tías as a key player in social intervention and community development, while we work together to create a positive and lasting impact.
