The Cabildo of Lanzarote will receive the national award 'Good Practices 2022' for its pioneering project 'Comprehensive Care Service for Dependency on the Island of Lanzarote (SAIDIL)', launched by the island institution to improve services to this population sector through inter-administrative cooperation.
The president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, has highlighted the efforts made to achieve this national recognition: "Since the beginning of the legislature, this comprehensive plan has been a priority, managing to connect the entire island to provide better care to citizens."
"The consortium articulated together with the seven municipalities of the island and the Government of the Canary Islands centralizes the attention and channels it through the Cabildo, where we have the resources so that no person from Lanzarote or La Graciosa is left without home care, improving their quality of life and helping them and their families," Corujo detailed.
The Chair of Innovation in Social Services and Dependency distinguishes 17 other local entities nationwide for their progress and innovation in caring for the most vulnerable people. The awards will be presented next Friday, October 7 in Fuenlabrada (Madrid).
