The Cabildo of Lanzarote wanted to "show its support for the Spanish Association Against Cancer on the day of its annual collection", one of the most important fundraising actions that the organization celebrates each year to continue fighting against this disease, the institution reports.
“From the institution we reaffirm our commitment to cancer patients and their families on this day and we appeal to the people of Lanzarote to lend their help and collaboration in the fight against this serious disease”, said Marcos Bergaz.
Bergaz stressed "the importance of preventing cancer and raising awareness among the population about this disease", as well as "continuing to promote cancer research projects that allow for better diagnosis and treatment of cancer and thereby improve the quality of life of patients and families", he indicates.
