The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through its Road Safety Service (SEV), dependent on the Road Safety Area led by Councilor Aroa Revelo, announces the opening of the registration period for a new edition of the summer program of Healthy Road Education "Activate Biciandando". This initiative, aimed at boys and girls between 6 and 12 years old, is part of the Friendly Cities, Health and Care plan, and will begin on July 7 in Arrecife.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, has highlighted the importance of continuing to bet on programs like this "that combine learning, health and sustainability, and also promote coexistence, respect for the environment and responsible mobility from an early age".
For her part, Councilor Aroa Revelo stressed that this 2025 edition returns with the same enthusiasm as always. "The main objective of the activities is that boys and girls continue to strengthen their skills when using the bicycle or walking on urban roads, as well as achieve the basic knowledge to make proximity trips safely and healthily," she said.
Consolidated as an unmissable event of the Lanzarote summer since its creation in 2010, the program will be developed during the month of July in the facilities of the SEV, located in Yábago street s/n, La Destila neighborhood (Arrecife), and will feature dynamic activities, recreational workshops, group games and educational outings by bike or on foot through the streets of the city. The goal is clear: to promote safe, sustainable and active mobility habits, in an educational and recreational environment.
