The Cabildo initiates the procedure for the renovation of the paddle tennis courts of the Sports City

This project, co-financed through FDCAN funds, aims to improve the conditions of sports facilities, guaranteeing their functionality and safety

The Cabildo of Lanzarote has initiated the bidding procedure to carry out the renovation of the paddle tennis courts of the Sports City for a budget of 35,000 euros, destined to the supply, installation and removal of the grass in the paddle tennis courts of the Lanzarote Sports City. This project, co-financed through the FDCAN funds, aims to improve the conditions of the sports facilities, guaranteeing their functionality and safety.

The vice president of the Cabildo and councilor of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, highlights the importance of this action for the sports community of the island and affirms that, "this bidding is one more step in our commitment to offer first-class sports facilities. The current state of the grass is not adequate to maintain the quality standards that we demand of ourselves."

For his part, the Minister of Sports, Juan Monzón, underlines the relevance of the project for the development of sports activities in Lanzarote and points out that the Sports City is a pillar for sports on the island. "With this renovation, we not only improve the infrastructure, but also promote the development of grassroots and high-performance sports on the island.
