The Public Sector Procurement Platform has published the contract for the adaptation of the premises and facilities for the opening and commissioning of the Los Valles Sociocultural Center, for which offers can be submitted until March 11, 2022.
“This action aims to adapt the Los Valles teleclub and its facilities to current regulations and obtain the necessary authorizations for its subsequent commissioning,” declared the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort.
The mayor celebrates that the Cabildo de Lanzarote has published the announcement of the tender for one of the projects requested by Teguise as a candidate to receive funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the framework of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy and that has a base bidding budget of 143,253 euros.
“This is about resolving the need to adapt the mythical meeting place of the town of Los Valles so that social, sports, cultural, and any other type of organizations that actively contribute to community development and to the construction of an inclusive and participatory society, can carry out activities,” Betancort pointed out.
“To this new tender that is launched, we must add the campaign to regularize the situation of the network of sociocultural centers of Teguise, adapting them to the new regulations and regulations, taking into account the diversity of activities that are carried out in them”, added the mayor, thanking "the collaboration of the Contracting area of the highest island institution".
The Teguise City Council points out that it will continue to adapt "to the new times" each social center, "modernizing its facilities and giving priority to the demands of the residents of all the towns." To this end, they maintain that the team from the Municipal Technical Office, led by Olivia Duque, and the Roads and Works team, led by Councilor Eugenio Robayna, are working together.
Finally, from the Consistory they point out that the roadmap of the reform plan for the network of social centers, for which Teguise has requested financing through the Municipal Cooperation Plan, continues on the island of La Graciosa, in the teleclubs of Tao and Mozaga, as well as in those of new construction such as the civic centers of Las Caletas and Costa Teguise.
