The Arrecife City Council, through the Children's Parks area, directed by Ángela Hernández, has put out to tender the works for adapting and legalizing the children's parks and bio-healthy areas of the municipal district of Arrecife, for an amount of 1,550,117.19 euros, including IGIC.
Pérez highlighted that "the award will enable the transformation and absolute adaptation of the facilities of parks that have not been renovated in decades." And, she emphasizes, that "it adds to the initiative undertaken by the City Council to equip the 31 children's parks in the municipality with bio-healthy areas, adapt their facilities to the regulations established in the Canary Islands Accessibility Law and condition them so that they can be enjoyed with all the safety and health measures".
The awarded companies must, among many other works, "dismantle and remove the play elements in poor condition, place the new ones and anchor them on a cushioned pavement floor", she advances. "The actions also contemplate the construction of leisure facilities, equipment for playgrounds and repair and maintenance of the facilities", she adds.
The actions will be divided into 3 lots and the execution period for each lot will be 3 months. In lot 1, actions will be taken in the children's and bio-healthy parks in the neighborhoods of Argana Alta, Argana Baja, Maneje, Las Salinas and San Francisco Javier, to which the Arrecife City Council will allocate an amount of 455,400.41 euros, she makes clear.
Lot 2 includes the children's and bio-healthy parks in the neighborhoods of Titerroy, Altavista and Rambla Medular with an amount of 501,494.26 euros. And, finally, lot 3 covers the children's and bio-healthy parks in the neighborhoods of La Vega, Valterra and Centro de Arrecife with a base bidding budget of 701,730.72 euros, the mayor adds.
The renovation of these public spaces, "an urgent need of Arrecife", is included within an Urban Infrastructure Rehabilitation Plan that also contemplates "the evacuation of rainwater in the areas where they are located, as well as the placement of furniture, repair of walls and perimeter fences, or generic signage with the indications established by law", she confirms.
Interested companies have until June 5, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. to submit applications through the State Contracting Platform, she concludes.
