The Teguise City Council, through the Youth Area, has launched a plan to improve and revitalize the municipality's four skateparks with the aim of offering youth meeting spaces where sports are encouraged.
The Councilor for Youth, Sara Bermúdez, explains that "in a first phase, the Costa Teguise skatepark has already been repaired and the works in La Caleta de Famara are being completed," and adds that "in the coming months we will continue with the one in La Villa and Tahiche."
The intervention has consisted mainly of replacing the plating of the ramps and relocating them to comply with current regulations, as well as changes to the guardrails or painting the entire park.

The mayor of the municipality, Oswaldo Betancort, considers that "it is a priority to offer our young people spaces where they can put their sports skills into practice and it is known that the skate modality is in great demand in Teguise, in addition to constituting a social meeting point."
This summer, the revitalization of the skateparks has already begun within the youth project "Agüita con el verano" with workshops that have been held this month of July in Costa Teguise and that will take place in August on the 3rd and 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (registrations 618280083).
From Juventud Teguise, we ask all skatepark users to "be aware that the public spaces we use belong to everyone and that if we take care of them they will have a longer useful life." All suggestions or proposals that the young people of Teguise wish to make can be sent through the official social networks both on Instagram and on Facebook (@juventudteguise).
