The Teguise City Council has launched the new sports monitoring and maintenance service for municipal gyms after awarding the contract to the company Samyl S.L., thus complying with the bidding process initiated by the Council to improve the quality, safety, and operation of these public facilities.

The service is already operational in the municipal gyms of La Villa and Tahiche, while its implementation will continue progressively in Costa Teguise in the coming days, subsequently completing in the sports centers of Tao and La Graciosa.

The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, stated that "with the launch of this service, we are taking an important step in our commitment to sport and the well-being of citizens, guaranteeing professional attention and well-maintained and safe facilities." Duque emphasized that "investing in sport is investing in health, social cohesion, and quality of life."

For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Alejandro Ramírez, highlighted that this new contract "allows for reinforcing attention to users and ensuring a professional and continuous service linked to physical activity in municipal gyms, improving both support and the use of facilities." He added that "the progressive implementation of the service facilitates an orderly and effective adaptation in all centers in the municipality."

The contract includes the presence of qualified monitors such as Technicians in Physical and Sports Activities Animation, who will offer guidance, supervision, and adapted training programs. It also includes functional training sessions led in the activity room of the Costa Teguise football field.

In addition, the service incorporates **preventive maintenance tasks for machinery and sports facilities**, with periodic checks that ensure their proper functioning and extend their useful life.

In a complementary manner, the City Council will continue with the renovation of the image of municipal gyms, through the replacement of signage that reinforces the presence of the public sports service.

The launch of this service "represents a further step in the planning and improvement of the municipal sports facilities network, committed to efficient and professional management".
