The Teguise City Council approved this 2022 to allocate 500,000 euros to help all those companies that carry out their activity in the municipality as a support measure in the post-pandemic economic recovery.
After approving the initial bases of the subsidies for SMEs and the self-employed, and passing the period of public exposure required by the administrative procedure and before its provisional approval, the City Council announced this Thursday the extension of the deadline for the correction of deficiencies or errors 20 more business days, that is, until January 27.
The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, and his Government team, thus approve a measure aimed at "facilitating administrative bureaucracy for those interested and that the maximum number of self-employed or small companies with fewer than 50 workers that carry out their business activity and have their registered office or at least a workplace located in the municipal district of Teguise can opt for this line of aid."
"This commitment to the business fabric of Teguise hopes to contribute to maintaining and improving economic activity and job creation in the municipality, trying to reach the largest possible number of those affected by the pandemic and, of course, always complying with all legal requirements," they say from the City Council.
"All those expenses derived from the development of the activity from the day after the declaration of the state of alarm until the date of completion of submission of applications for said call are eligible for subsidies, such as rent, water, electricity and gas supplies, communication expenses, payments to Social Security, purchase of computer equipment for the development of the business or Covid protection equipment, among others," they indicate from the Consistory.
The range of eligible expenses ranges from 2,000 euros to 10,000 euros and those applicants who, meeting the established requirements, have not received any aid from the State, the Government of the Canary Islands or the Cabildo de Lanzarote will have priority in granting the subsidy.
