The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, and the President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, met this Monday at the headquarters of the Cabildo of Lanzarote. Sánchez interrupted his vacation on the island to visit Galicia, affected by the fires, and then to meet with his counterpart in the islands.
During the meeting, Clavijo proposed to the Spanish president the elaboration of a Decree Law with specific issues for the Canary Islands in order to comply with the commitments acquired after the signing of the Canary Islands Agenda. This request was carried out in the meeting between both presidents in the Cabildo of Lanzarote during this day.
