Roadside workers appreciate Medina's "good attitude" after ensuring their subrogation

The workers of the UTE Márgenes Lanzarote, company in charge of cleaning the roadsides, wanted to publicly thank the Councilor for Public Works of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Jacobo Medina, for having achieved a solution to the labor problem in which they are immersed after the contract signed between the UTE and the first corporation of the island ended.

"The workers are very satisfied with the willingness and good attitude with which Mr. Councilor treated us from the first moment in which we made our problems public, not hesitating at any time to meet with us to listen to our demands and explain the steps that are being taken to get the new tender for the service out as soon as possible", say the employees, who met last week with Medina, who guaranteed them their jobs.

"For us, who are so concerned about our jobs and the well-being of our families, it is a relief to know that the Cabildo has resolved the subrogation of all colleagues, in such a way that we will finally not have to go to unemployment but will maintain this condition until the cleaning and improvement service of the roadsides is re-awarded", point out the workers, who thank both the Councilor for Public Works and "the entire Government of the Cabildo for the speed with which they have acted" to find a solution to their problem.
