The Lanzarote Cabildo has reopened to traffic the road connecting the Agro-industrial Complex and Mozaga after completing the comprehensive road surface improvement works one month ahead of the established execution deadline.

The project, funded by the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN) through the Planning and Projects Area, managed by Vice President and Councilor María Jesús Tovar, has involved a complete renovation of the road, with the full removal of the previous pavement and the execution of a new route, safer and adapted to current traffic needs.

The work also included drainage, embankment improvement, signage replacement, and access conditioning, ensuring the transit of heavy vehicles linked to the agricultural and industrial activities of the agro-industrial complex

Jacobo Medina, Minister of Public Works and Insular Roads, highlighted that "this intervention is part of the Plan for the Improvement and Maintenance of Insular Roads, with which the Cabildo continues to act in different municipalities on the island to offer a more modern, safe, and functional road network".

"We are fulfilling the commitments made to the residents, planning and executing works with efficiency and rigor. Having completed this project a month ahead of schedule demonstrates the effort and coordination of the technical team and the awarded company," Medina added"We will continue to promote projects that improve connectivity and road safety," he concluded. Finally, Eño Robayna, councilor for Public Works, wanted to thank the residents for their understanding during the temporary closure and apologize for the inconvenience caused, highlighting that "the entire road has been rebuilt and a completely new layout has been executed, with highly durable materials and all technical guarantees."

The reopening of access to the Agro-industrial Complex and Mozaga restores normality to the traffic of heavy and light vehicles operating in the area, improving the safety and functionality of a road essential for the economic activity of the municipality of Teguise.
